I don't think its a tool, I think its just the core that they chipped the flint from to make tools etc, I could be wrong but nice find though even the cores are worth a little.
 

Very neat piece!

Looks like smaller pieces were chipped off for possibly making points.
Again, a great piece :thumbsup:
 

Found one similar size,but actually has hole with thumb size print,where
it is worn into grinder,Will try to find and post pic.
One end is broken where my husband hit with plow.
