Thanks guys. Someone else said that it looked like a lock part. All the file marks made me think "old"...

I spent a good hour looking at this. It seems fairly crude - not a precision part. The center spindle and "bump" possibly had a spring. Roller blinds hardware? Sceen door hardware? Mostise lock part? :dontknow:

I've seen my share of relics and been a CW reenactor for years. I've not seen or used anything that had a part like that on it. So... Not CW, IMO. But I don't know what it is...

It is interesting to me that the relic is laying on a makisu (bamboo sushi roller). I used one of those last night to make dinner.
