Possible Cup?

Found this possible cup about 5 inches down. It's heavy for its size. Was wondering if it was a cup and maybe age. Just trying to get an age for my current detecting spot. Thanks and happy hunting.

Looks like its made pewter to me. I found an old shaving mug that I found years ago it had the same type of corrosion. It was from the late 1800s. just my guess I could be wrong
