It just keeps getting better. My granddaughter saw my finds yesterday and wanted to go out today. So I brought her the Ace 250 and took her to the city pool knowing there should be some clad and possibly jewelry to keep her interested. She's only seven but man she took right off with it. That's all I did in the first twenty minutes was dig. She found a pocket spill with for quarters and a penny spill. There was around 40 new shield pennies in a 4x4 area. I had few minutes and turned on the atp. I walked over from her about 10ft and the VDI hit in the 80's. Dug down about 4 inches and got this beauty. Going to take it to a jeweler after Christmas. It's silver and looks good in a jewelers loupe. She found over $5 in change in a couple hours. We both had a great time together. HH!

Not sure that a 2K diamond would be set in silver. Are you sure it's not white gold or platinum? So you are getting a seven year old hooked on digging this sort of stuff up....good for you ..... sounds like she will be a natural.:icon_thumright:

I sure hope she is. Love spending time with her. Thanks!

Most likely a CZ set in silver if it rang in 80 on ATP but fingers crossed

A 7 year old that scored $5.00 in clad in a couple of hours. That is way better than I do! GL&HH.

She found a lot of quarters in the concession stand area. LOL

I se e that the backing is still on the stud earring you found. That could mean that it was lost with its mate. Person picking up towel and possibly losing both. My experience at the beach tells me to keep looking for the mate if the backing is on the one I found. I found many mates in that situation.
No backing could mean that it came out of the person ear and was lost.
Go back and check the area out again. Listen for wispers/weak signals. It may just pay off. Especially if it is a real diamond.
Good luck. Merry Xmas

that would be pretty awesome if it's a genuine stone. TommyB has a good point, the other one may be out there

Beautiful and awesome find.
You should thank your granddaughter; maybe get her something nice for getting you to go out.

Congrats to the both of you.
