It's possible. I see a little tail on yours just like the PCGS example,
Slide the magnifier on the PCGS site to get a close-up look. I can't tell for sure, but I hope yours is the real deal. If you send it in to PCGS to be graded, they will let you know for sure. They have a nice text description of its history. Good Luck !! Nice war nickel nonetheless.

One of the markers for 1943 overdate on 1942 wartime nickels is the doubling of the 4. The 4 will appear doubled or wider/thicker than other dates.
I dont see that in your pics...so the metal inside the bottom loop of the 3 is not part of the overdate...I feel it's a 1943 with a very strategically placed die chip.
Jefferson's are not in my collecting wheelhouse so someone with a broader knowledge of this series would be able to say definitively what you have exactly....great conversation coin!
 

Thanks for posting. I'll have to check my two 1943 war nickels. Over date possible on all mint marks(S,D and P)?
