Portland

Maybe too late for your hunt yesterday, but if Portland is anything like Eugene, you would need to go to the parks department and ask for a permit. They're free here but I dunno about up there. Good luck-

I was told by a dealer that all parks in Portland are open to hunt.
I have hunted many of them and no problem.
Downtown park blocks have lots of coins !
State and county parks are different though. Have to check each seperate one.

Greydigger - Portland parks are open to detecting, no permit is required. There are a few State Parks in the area, that are not open to detecting. Most have been hammered, based on what i hear from our Portland Club, but there is still plenty to find. Still a lot of people bringing in good finds from local parks. I do not hit them often myself. A few parks are large, so you can spend all day in a small area without bothering anyone, and most are pretty old.

Gosh Burnside Slim, I could be offended ! LOL

Thanks for the upgrade.

I found my first gold in a park in Portland.

I thank the Whites ads and Geico ads for showing the general public that we are not the "Bomb Squad" but just folks.
