Porringer value?

have a solid sterling porringer bowl, it's from a family that was wealthy at one point.

it's engraved "George Kingsley Birge II May 13th 1909 from uncle Eben"

it's got a few dings and was made in London date stamp is 1909 I'm not realy interested in selling it but I'm currious about what you guys would say it's worth, I paid 50 cents for it and it weighs 196 grams
 

I've done research on the family george Kingsley the seconds grandfather owned a wallpaper factory and had a very beautiful mansion in the 1800's the mansion has been fixed up recently and turned into high end offices
 

Unless it is of exceptionally ornate character, or from a prized maker, it is unlikely to have any more value than maybe a little over scrap value.

Had it been an 18th century piece, that would have been quite different.
