Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

They’re called ‘blackamoor’ figurines and generally frowned upon as racist these days, since they’re stereotypical representations of Moorish servants. These were widely produced in Germany by companies such as Rosenthal in the 1940s, but also heavily imported from Japan. Those look like imports to me. If the serving bowls have a hole that goes through into the body of the figurine, I would think they were made as bud vases.
