Back in '90, my hunting partner bought a new car. It needed service so he asked me to ride along to the dealership. They had just moved the dealership out to the edge of town. As we pulled in the place, I noticed a plowed field behind it that looked really good. The man said 2 hrs. to fix the car so we headed for the field. A small creek meandered through the field and we hunted the ridges above the creek. We found most of what is in the frame in that 2 hours. I went back a couple of times and found several more. I moved later that summer 40 mi. south and never went back. Here are our finds. My friend found the Clovis fragment and I traded him for a Clovis fragment I found at one of his spots. Gary

The Thebes saw a lot of use too. I like seeing well used pieces. Some nice Archaic stuff there. Thanks for posting.

Kindest regards,

Very Nice! :icon_thumleft: It doesn't hurt to take an opportune time to check an area out. Time not wasted.

very nice. Is the attica chert relic edges knapped in both areas to a spokeshave? On the right side it looks like secondary chipping are visible to me, what about on the left side ?

I'll take a look today and see dognose. I'll take a close pic. I never thought about it being a spokeshave. Gary
