Point and Mano

Metate I do think looks to big for a mano. Nice point

I always find the grinders but cant find the Metates. Those are nice finds
 

A metate is a mortar? It depends upon the area found and what terminology is popular in that area. Here they are called a Mortar (South East). The grinding stone used in the hand is the pestle western ones are more often called mano. I am confused already:tongue3:
Anyways nice artifacts. I have a few from Early county I think? (Kolomoki). Great area you are in.
 

Metate or mortar, regardless of what you call it, nice finds! . I can relate to "can't get the photo to show depressions", I wet the depressions in order to help see them in the pics., HH!
