Lever escarpment, pin set and wind, not key wound. Looks to be a jeweled watch. The case appears to be nickle plated.

See if there is an old timer around that repairs watches. They might recognize it. I would say 40s or 50s swiss made.

Added:
Oh it was not a stop watch, the button was to change from winding to setting of the watch. The gear holes are correct for a normal time piece.

I have a watch exactly like that, both in terms of size, placement of significant features, and condition.

I will post a photo tomorrow, if I get a chance. I found mine at a place that was not inhabited after the 1920s--and extensive use during the time frame of 1860-1900.
