I found a HMS Mfg. Co. that made Christmas tree stands during the 1930s-40s.

Even if you found the maker usually the serial number on cases will not give you a date, it needs to be the serial number off of the movement as a lot of the cases were farmed out to case makers and recieved in bulk while the movements were made in house then assembled so very rarely will you find a case serial number matching the movement serial number. This by no means is gospel just what I have found in my experience.

Thanks I found a SN# after cleaning it I still can't find anything on the maker.
