Has anybody ever tried to refurbish an old pocket knife that they dug up? I found one a couple weeks ago. It remindes me of what my grandfather used to carry around with him and I would like to clean it up and use it. At first the blades wouldn't even open. I soaked it in Kroil for awhile and left it in my ultrasonic cleaner for a few days. Now I can at least get the blades open but they don't open very easily. The blades look gray color that kind of remind me of the color of lead. Are these blades gonna be to fragile to sharpen and to use? Is there any thing I should do to this to make it usable? Any hints or ideas for me?
