Hard to say for sure without a name to go on.. but judging by appearance, the one on the left looks like an old Case knife to me, so here is some info about case:
Case Brothers, the first brand to carry the Case name, started in 1886 as a small jobbing company run by the brothers Case: William Russell, Jean, John and Andrew. In 1900, their passion for cutlery drove the Case Brothers to start their own factory in Little Valley, New York. Within the year, they were producing razors and pocket knives in their own factory.

Great finds! Good Hunting! omnicognic 8)

Thanks Omni!

A little follow-up research showed that both seem to be variations of Case Knives ... couldn't find any though that have exactly matched....so many!!! the one on the left (with the longer little steel emblem) is set in real wood, which has deteriorated. The smaller one on the left is a hard (plastic perhaps) shell which is has not deteriorated.

It's difficult to try and gauge the age ... especially in light of the coarse soil here in the Hudson Valley, NY

Thanks again!!
