Pocket knife - How old?

Any sharp knife guys or gals out there that can tell me about this knife?
Age?
Handle material?

Any info would be appreciated. There are no markings on it.

Well, it appears to have a "Dunlap" emblem, probably pre-1950.

That's all I got.

Wow, that looks pretty darn close mrs.oroblanco.
It looks to me like the shield emblem is spot on, but to my eye ModernMiner's knife has more rivets in it, and does not have a bolster on the end of the handle.

The (scales) handles are probably bone and the bolsters look to be steel or iron.

What's Up MM? I can say this I don't know knives that well but do know that they made knives much like these before the war even.I've found them on colonial sites that would be hard to tell the difference from one that would be only a few years old to me.The handful below are some I can get to easy & have not feel apart yet.But where they came from none would be much over the 1900's most found on late 18oo's sites that did turn up items that would date civil war or there around.If you look up antique pen knives for a search you'll see what I mean.I've got one around here somewhere almost like the one you posted without the little trim piece that came from a late 1700's site sorta like a barlow which has been around for quite sometime.(barlows) Anyway here's a site that shows a few but many are out there.

Hey Pete,
Great info and thanks for that link. I'll keep it bookmarked.
Everything I find out in these woods I hope is a CW relic because I have found patches of CW bullets, melted camp lead, buttons, harmonica reeds, etc. all over the place. The location I found this one was very close to where a group of us dug about 15 bullets last spring, that's why I was hoping it would date back to the CW.
This property has also been used to hunt on for many years, not to mention as a farm, so the knife could be more modern too.
I have no idea.
