It was just in a pile of change that I went through. I thought my first would be from the ground.
 

Don't you love it when they just fall in your lap? We search and research and someone just hands us something from a cash register. Too bad you didn't realize it then, you could have asked for more dimes!

i wouldnt imagine it was in modern circulation for very long. it would be worn to a nub if it had been clunking around in folks pockets for 100 years! i think some kid got to dads coin collection. sucks for him, but awesome for you! nice find!

Congrats...every few years I find a Mercury dime or Buffalo nickle in my change but I have never found a Barber.
 

some kids getting a butt whupping about now---for getting in gramppas or dads "collection" for a candy bar.
