ha yea it seems every 6 months there is a halfhearted "investigation"
just so they can say "we checked"

the only way I see a serious investigation is if the mint sells 10,000 silver eagles at
$19.95 each & the next day when they are due to ship, each one
is worth $100.00

Here is a different article that goes more in depth. Apparently, they are investigating info they obtained while investigating forex market fraud that was discovered in more than one country a while back. Would be great if they officially declared manipulation existed (even if they say it is not on the very large scale many PM pundits profess).
