Ok, I have no clue what this is but it does have a point at one end and a hole at the other as though it was hung from a line. It was found in the back yard of a turn of the century home where they used to have their sponge drying house and likely some tools for fishing.

I'm not sure what its made of but it does appear to be lead but then again maybe not, there is a small place where I knicked it with the shovel and it has a steel shine to it. I did find a net weight in the same area.

Any clues????

Hi Ghost Rider
I recall using minnow nets that had a bunch of lead weights at the bottom to hold it to the bottom of a stream as two people would walk through the water scooping up minnows and anything else that was there. I would say that what you have is a lead weight for a net.
