I have found many like that but all broken at a 40's-50's dump site. I actually believe it is a miniature whiskey or liqueur. I cant remember the brand, but research miniature whiskey for the ID.

Dug this bottle today while searching a wooded area here in Penna. It stands about 6" in height. Has a number 3 on the bottom. Just curious as to what it was used for. Thanks Folks.
In 1998 I found a 5-sided, cobalt blue soda bottle with the date 1848. In seeking help on the web for identification I was helped by Digger Odell. He has a website: http://www.bottlebooks.com/ Send him a photo and he'll probably be able to identify it and value it for you. Keep us posted.

Its one of the liqueurs i am almost positive. It is one of the taller miniatures. Its from the 40's, 50's era and may not be in production today. If I had my old miniature bottle books i could ID it for you. I remember looking it up because I dug many like it, but all broken.

Ok i found the shape in my book "Bottle Identification" book by H.E.Putman copyright 1965, page154, Mould no. 308. It is a shape made for Liqueur. I dont have my scanner and sadly my camera broke just now when i tried to take picture of the page for you. But it is definitely a Liqueur. Made in flint glass (clear) or olive green.

I also looked up olive oil bottle shapes page 208-209, but could not find a match.

I haven't bought liquor in years since I had to give it up, but the last Creme deMenth I bought came in a bottle just like that. It's a clear liquer with a peppermint taste. I think bigcypress got it. M :tongue3:

Thanks Monty. Yes it is a liqueur. As soon as I buy a camera I will post the pic. :icon_study: Liqueur is quicker. :tongue3:

Just bought a new camera and am still learning how to post to the pc. Well here goes my best shot. This is a picture taken from my old factory bottle book and it has it listed as a liqueur by the shape. Note yours is a screw top.
