Found this today. 8" deep. Size of a dime. Long Island, New York.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bravo. I believe you are right.... Was surprised in the detail of the impression of the seal compared to others I just saw, but none the less it appears to be lead seal. Learn something new every day...... Thanks much!!!
