Please Help my beloved 1265x

Shot in the dark here, but do any of of you guys/gals happen to have a battery cover that will work on my 1265x ? my unit needs repairs, and the tech emailed me back and told me that since my cover is broke that they cannot repair the unit since the part is obsolete. not sure why that means they cannot fix the rest of it and i'll just keep duct taping it shut, but thats the way it is I guess.
SO if anybody has a broken 1265 or another unit with the same battery cover, be it a whole unit so I can take the door off it to get mine fixed or just the cover, I would be willing to pay a fair price for it, since my 1265 is very sentimental to me, as my father got me that unit as a boy, and I cherish it like I do my wife.

if anybody has a old los banos 1265 66xb or 70 or a cz3d 1021 that's been certified calibrated/tuned by NASA Tom, I'd be willing to trade my minelab explorer II with tons of extras.
my explorer 2 has the Sunray inline probe, stock coil and a 8 inch concentric excelerator coil, the koss headphones and 3 battery packs, 2 of which are minelab rechargables and a extra carbon fiber lower shaft for second coil, and a rain cover, also have the Andy sabish book on it, nearly mint condition.
so full blown setup, plus I have a hard case that was meant for golf clubs that I modified for the explorer.
I'd even add cash if I have too.
