I recently found these buried approximately 6in deep, at the base of an old Oak tree. They are made of either glass or porcelain and possibly enamel overlay, measuring approx. 1/4 inch circ. & 1/2 inch circ. Initially I thought they were beads, but neither have the 2 openings for stringing. However, each bead has what appears to be 1 opening with a white fabric type center, which is flush with the surface. The white centers seem to be a type of string/cord. Any info or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Good call Taz. Boy, their spot-on blueberry appearance threw me off. The mesh looking stuff now makes sense... dried clay can look like that.
