I used my new metal detector in my backyard today, and I found two unknown items. One looks like the top of a container of some sort, and the other is a ring-like object. The ring-like object has two weird symbols on it. They are hard to see in the pictures, so I made a drawing of them. Thank you to anyone who can try to help me! It was a bit misleading in the original post, but the two symbols are the same.

if the top photo is of a small object, less than half a dime, its part of a rivet.we could use a coin in photos for size referance

The first item looks like a lid from an old Nestle's Quick can. What's the second item made of? Copper? Maybe just a cut-off section of tubing?

Nestle quick cans have "inset" lids. Which appears opposite of this sorta.
They must be pried open.
They are one of the few cans that have this feature.
Not sure... but maybe so.

I am not sure what a Nestle can would be doing in my backyard, but that is certainly a possibility. I think the second item is made of iron, and I still have no clue what it could be. Does anyone know what the symbol that is on it means?
