Please help me identify greyhound hood ornament

I picked this up at a yard sale and they say it was on a vehicle. I looked it up online and haven't found anything on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. On the bottom of it it says copyright nesmo or desmo I am not sure witch one it is.
