Hunted with a friend from another forum with a horrible wind blowing. While we were together, I managed to find a piece off a lantern and what could be a fabric tack. After Chip left, I decided to swing a little more. What a weird place I was in. Found a 71 quarter and then started wandering around. This field is full of iron! Anyway, the reason I'm in this forum is the piece that I will put below. It about blew my headphones off! Came up as a 95 and air tests between 97 and 99. It's about 3 3/8 across...almost round, but not perfect. The hole in the center is 3/8. The rivets are hammered and as you can see, they are not uniform. It appears to have some iron still attached on the back side. Anyone have any clue what this might be?

This could be a Native American hand-made copper pendant, so be sure to post it on that forum for the experts to evaluate. It is very cool, congrats. Sub 8-)

Found in Kenansville, NC. Part of a decorative candlestick...possible, I suppose. The iron it was riveted to could have been to weigh the base down. Not sure about Native American pendant theory...but hey, who knows! I appreciate the ideas! I hope I can find an answer!

I really can't tell from the photos, but I think it's part of a candle sconce or similar with a 'Spanish' overtone. I don't mean it is a true piece from Spain, but during the 1970's there was a lot of metal pieces (usually painted black) that had a Spanish flair to them. Some looked almost Medieval. They generally had lots of nail heads and often chains. You see them now at Flea Markets, and they're generally with the Elvis on velvet area. Yours may be the real deal, but I can't tell because I'm not looking at it in person.
