hi, the coins are pretty warn down, the coin on the far left(top pic) has a date. It reads: 1987 - 1407. all other text on all 3 coins (besides the western numerals, is some other language. ?arabic?)
On the bottom pic the first two coins have a date, in case its too blured it reads:1974 1394.

Thw two with the head are probably the smae country and the third might be two (that crest with the lions looks similar) but it could be different.

sorry about flipping the direction of the coins, they are different colors so it shouldn't be too difficult to see which one is which. They were in the same order on my scanner but i had to flip the second image to make the coins oriented correctly.

thats what i thought it was at first, but most of the iranian coins i have looked up have used arabic or persian numbers, not the western numerals seen on those coins. I definitly could be wrong as im the one who needed to ask for help. My parents thought egyptian as thats the only country in the middle east any of us has been to. But there again i hit the same numeral problem. thanks to all who post, these are the last coins that i have that i have not IDed.

doesn't look right as far as the writing goes but the lions on the back look a lot like some coins I have from Singapore. (singapura) maybe that'll help??

i still have yet too find anything that looks like it.

ive tried: Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Singapore, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kuwait and Jordan.

Now i might have missed it in one of these countries as i wasnt always able to find the correct time period.

oh i fell like such an idiot for trying pakistan. It wass part of the USSR until 1991 and my coins are dated 1987 and 1974 and the writing isn't cyrillic (russian). I guess i just ran out of countries to try.

Edit: well morant correccted me, and i did mean turkmenistan not pakistan, althougth i did look to see if my coins were pakistani, which their not.

un fortunately i have only 90 santim not 90 dirham as they dont make either 20 or 50 dirham coins only notes. however they do make 20 santim and one half dirham(or 50 santim) coins. so thats roughly US$0.11 @ 1 dirham=.119 USD

well they are worth morth as a collectors itm and i wouldn';t sell them anyway so it doesn't really matter if they are pretty much worthless.

Um - Pakistan was never in the USSR, it used to be part of India until they split after WWII. Perhaps you were thinking of Uzbekistan ;D

thanks all, i now have organized all of my coins and banknotes from other countries, logged how much i have and figured their value in USD. ill keep checking these boards now that im registered to see if my collection can help anyone else ID a coin so that i can begin to try to give back to this great forum.

oh that is correct morant. i was looking at turkmenistan.

i should have know that as i just got a 86% in AP World History (which is a very, very difficult class at my school, well i guess all AP classes are. As they are supposed to be college credit if you pass the national exam) ;D
