Hi all, I dug this metal at an old home site dating to the 1870's. I have no idea as to what it is and was hoping that someone here would be of help. Here is what I can tell you. It showed a +38 VDI (Gold/Pulltab) Range. It is very heavy and hard. Not aluminum, too heavy. Not lead, cannot carve into it. A magnet will not stick to it. I threw it on the belt sander to give you and idea of it's color. Thanks for any help here.
