I bought this at an estate sale today because I thought it was lovely. I would love to know the maker, if anyone has an idea? I also included some pictures of the cups that came with it. The bowl measures 12" across. It has a bubble, or circle pattern, with small raised triangles in btwn.

Might be leaded crystal, or American Fostoria. Take a look online. Hope this helps!

It is a punch bowl, but I don't know what type of glass ware it is. It's certainly very pretty.

Two different makers and patterns entirely. The cups are made by Imperial and the pattern is called Candlewick, alothough none of my books show the cup with the "balls" all the way around the handle like that. I guess it could be a more modern design, my books cover the depression era to around 1960. The pattern was made until 1984 I believe. The punch bowl is shown on page 18 of Collectible glassware of the 40's, 50's and 60's (3rd ed.). It is made by Anchor Hocking and the pattern is called, expectedly "bubble".

Everything is not yet on the internet but I can see it happening someday.

I am surprised at some of the very unimportant and obscure info that someone has taken the time to put on the net. Some of it even seems trivial until something like this comes along. But good for good old books.

A few years ago, I learned to use a computer. I thought all books were now obsolete and I even tossed some out of print valuable books in the trash. Boy was I stu-pid!! :-[

The internet has not yet replaced books. True some books are online but not all of them. The info may be online one year and gone the next. I guess websites cost money to keep them online. You would think the goverment would step in and put all books online.. Some day books may become obsolete but not yet. ...not yet.

Wow, thanks so much! I really appreciate the information. Even if they aren't the same pattern I think it looks great as a set!!

I looked at the anchor hocking bubble pattern, and it doesn't seem quite the same. I don't see the triangles in between the bubbles, and that pattern has a star at the bottom of every piece. My bowl is plain at the bottom.

Like Diggumup says, this set is a marriage of 2 different patterns...

The cups are molded...and you can see the mold line...probably rescued from an inexpensive set that had cake plates...

Cannot offer any info on the bowl though...

Your right, it isn't an Anchor Hocking bowl. I didn't see the bottom. The little triangles inside are clearly shown in one of the photos in my book. But now that I see the bottom is plain, I don't know the maker. I'll have to check a little further.
I also did a little more research as to the cups and figured out why they didn't look right as to Cnadlewick, it's because they're not. They are cups from a Hazel Atlas Orchard snack set that comes with a tray.
