Hello.
Been researching the back mark on this flat button and coming up empty. Came out of cornfield where blacksmith shop used to sit circa 1820-1880. Any thoughts? Thx. Billy

I can see the top says "Improved" but I can't read the bottom. Do you know what is on the bottom half?

OLD metal gilt buttons early 1800's great back marks Description:
Offered for your consideration, an assortment of very old metal gilt buttons circa early 1800's and maybe older. Back marks read: Warranted Rich Orange, D. Evans & Co. Extra, Extra Strong Quality (bent shank), Extra Rich London,Improved Mint Edge. Largest is 7/8".
