BUTTON.jpgBUTTON2.jpgBUTTON3.jpgI thought it was an old button at first, but it feel like aluminum which is weird and the wing coming off the side makes no sense, but it does have a nice loop on the back....does anyone have any idea? I did a google image search and there was no results....I'm stumped. I found this on a property that is now an old farm, but it was the first trading post in this area, and there was a small Indian wigwam camp there as well as a stagecoach stop. I would appreciate any help....!

could be half of a cuff link or a button. Looks to me from patina and coloring not to be aluminum. copper or brass. If i had to guess I was say def older than early 1900s

The color of the bent section leads me to say it is brass.
The large size of the loop make me think it is possibly 1930-1940's for a women's for an overcoat.

The back side also has a tinge of red coloring that was saved where it was bent. I straightened it out and saw the red under it once I got the dirt out of the bend. I thought perhaps it was part of a ceremonial dress for the natives, they like things that jingle when they dance, but it seems awful advanced for that. Any ideas how to figure out which metal it is? I tested it, it is not magnetic.

It is similar to that! But it has a hook shape and a bubble over the center and was painted red at one point
