Prospecting
Hi I was walking down into a former river now more like a creek after they built a dam because it flooded out the area a few times trying to locate a pathway to get in the heart of the former river. There is a copper mine or mine where copper is among the metals they exploit on a section of the rivers beach. Anyway, on my way back up to the road I was looking down and saw this (what i thought to be plastic or some twisted off metal debris on the ground)I would have not even given it a second thought but because I knew this was an Alluvial area to my understanding and recently been super interested in prospecting i picked it up. It was immediately a surprise to me because of its abnormal heaviness for what I expected yet i could bend it with a little decent effort(although it is long and thin) and scratch it rather easily... a piece of metal its size to weigh... I thought i may have found something... and upon a second look over i felt it had the appearance of gold nuggets i seen pictures of. So here's the tests i performed on it listed:
pics below....****
-Magnet: Nothing... didn't stick

-Took a torch to it and a lighter to it: didn't blacken except the brown/red areas might have blackened some but isolated to the redish areas.
**Held the torch thinking it wouldn't eventually melt (I want to say I read it wouldn't lol) after about 30 seconds same spot i had to JUMP up and had a shiny carpet filled piece of it... lol. Somewhere can't locate at the moment. But left the area extremely shiny...***

-Did the Hydrogen Peroxide test: it bubbled or fizzed but not "violently" more so a steady gentle way and more so in certain areas vs. others.

-Streak: silvery greyish?

-Streak Test--18kt (GOLD) acid: Don't know if it can be expected to do anything but didn't do much in my opinion. It did seem to dissolve it "some" I think. **I put a drop of oil and water on the second pic of the test just to compare it to the acid.**
-Silver Test turned blue in some streaks of varying degree...

*******I really WANT to know what it is! I assumed PLATINUM because its appearance is identical to SOME pics ive seen... but i just don't know for sure... Definitely mixed with something i am pretty sure... but HELP PLEASE! lol... if you know or opinions and or where to go from here if it is would be greatly appreciated.... totally GREEN in all this stuff... TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD! Dad needs a new 'Driver' lol****** Thank you! and God bless you and your HUNTING!

I can't tell from your pictures, but to me it has the look of lead slag.
Hope it is platinum.
Good luck on better ID's

Edit...
By the way WELCOME

don't have any idea how hot you had your torch turned to but you can melt lead with an ordinary flame not much hotter than a cigarette lighter. Platinum has a melting point of 3,215 degrees. I've soldered platinum rings and you have to get the thing glowing white hot to even get the solder to flow, so I seriously doubt it's platinum
