I thought I was rested enough to play in the muck again with my CZ-21 and 8" coil that I just got back from First Texas. Not even close. That paste is so deep and thick it was a lot of work to move. I was in a few holes deeper than my elbow, just to get a few coins. There really are super deep targets out there in that river. One Barber dime a 1927 wheat and a 1942 king George. A silver ring and the rest is brass.

That encrusted thing is either a key or a bottle opener. Rang up as a high tone

Anyway. I think I left the camera on last night as it wouldn't record for more than a few seconds. Will try it again tomorrow.

Gotta work for that gold now, but ya know its in there, sounds pretty cool even if you just mucking around. I m looking forward to your videos if they work out. Stay safe Robert!!!!!

man has a history of working very hard for a little bit of gold if any is found at all, so you are doing pretty good for your effort while tiring. oh yes, leaving a camera on over night is proof of being tired (right? not getting "older"?) you just gotta figure out a better way to do it...easy for me to say LOL

could always raise a platoon of trained frogs for the heavy lifting duty :dontknow::laughing7:

I searched Google and found this beach located in MI (which you have as your home location)...

Those bath house tags have to make a nice display. You are tough digging through that muck

Enjoy your posts and finds. Very nice..

Very nice Scuba. With finds like that, at least if your getting tired you should have sweet dreams when you sleep !!

That ring is nice.
You should clean it up and post another picture.
The other finds are awesome.

Me clean silver? I have hundreds of silver rings and things. Never clean any of it. Against my metal detecting religion.

Still some nice finds - many would love to have a day like that - keep up the good fight
I used to clean silver - then had a few really good yrs and could not keep up with it - I leave most
as found

A Great time out Scuba!! As always! Good Luck!

I must be a boring person, I enjoy cleaning my silver rings. :skullflag:

Stamina is key.
Swing by regular next winter and I have a program to build both strength and endurance. ( It involves a snow shovel.)

Nice digs in one of the last frontiers.
Silt and sediment keep right on piling up.
Not knowledgeable of your haunts , but any area scoured by spring run of velocity increase adds to somewhere else.
Slower current on actual bottom still allows build up.

I made a recovery from a cut river bank about three foot below ground level.
About 60 years of annual flooding had deposited that much.

Stay safe.
You're scratching out enough keepers to not quit yet.

I am very creative. I learned how to turn a dishwasher into a snow thrower!!

You buy her a shovel.

I agree, I got another keeper today. Video up of a little of what I am up against.
