I found over $1400 in Play money the other day.
When I saw the first one at a distance, I was pretty excited :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9:

I remember buying things like this in the 5 & 10 store in the 50's. They came in packs and also with some coin operated toy things. Not sure if there was a single manufacturer.

Yes its a play coin. Yes it was sold at "5 and 10" stores like Woolworths. It was manufactured by the Tracies Company in the 1940's and sold for 30 years..
I hope this answers your questions Garabaldi. :)

The illustration in the above post came from a book titled " Play Money of American Children " by Richard F. Clothier, mine was published in 1985. I posted this, just in case anyone was wondering.......NGE

Actually, I had lost the book around the house somewhere, I couldn't find it for a few years. I kept seeing it, but couldn't remember where (dang brain farts). Now that I have found it, it is in my desk drawer, right next to me............NGE
