Platinide?

Hi guys,
came across an old brooch, the metal is a silver colour with some goldish toning.
It has no marks, but in the (original) box, it has a label "solid Platinide"

A quick look on the interwebs didn't yield any results for me.

Anyone here ever hear that term before? could it be platinum ?

Until someone pipes in - I searched Google and found...

1st - Found one (looks surprisingly similar) that stats it is a a Royal Crown Commemorative Brooch - perhaps for the Queens Coronation...

2nd - This definition (as confusing as it is!)...

Platinide is a shorthand term for heavy Group 8A (see periodic table of elements)
metals that share some of the physical and chemical properties of platinum...​

Maybe a similar concoction to "Platinaire" which is .925 Silver, .05 Platinum, and .025 other.
