Hello,

I have found some strange nuggets and noone couldn't tell me what it is.

Maybe someone here could help me to identify it :)
Would be very nice =)

*** The little one one is getting cleared with a sandblaster and polished. ***

It isnt magnetic. It doesnt melt under gas burner. I can not deform it with a hammer. It is harder then silver...
The red piece at the big left one is polish paste from my hands ^^

Greetings

Thanks for quick replys. Do you really think it's aluminium? The little polished one has a weight of 30,8 gramms and it is really hard. Cannot make any scratches in it with a Hammer or something like this. And it doesnt go Black if i hold a Gas burner on it.

In the near was a big blasting field and a old forge.
I also found this near the "nuggets" ^^

If you believe it may be a rare and valuable metal, please pony up the fee and have it assayed by a professional.

Time for more coffee.

If a propane torch will melt it, it's aluminum. if it won't, it's something with some value. One way to tell for sure is with a specific gravity test.

Go to a sizable pawn shop and ask if they buy or loan on platinum. If the say yes, have them test it. They do for free.

30.85 grams on that tiny piece is ridiculous. Maybe depleted uranium alloy. Definitely not platinum.

Thanks for the answers. =)
Last days i had a strong flu and couldn't go to an expert. But i have some new infos for this one who like to speculate.

The "nuggets" doesnt react with HCI/Hydrocloridacid.

Tomorrow i'll go to a juweler. :)

Here are some new pictures of the cleaned pieces.

Even if they are not valuable.. I think they are very beautiful :)

Hello and welcome! Those dense nuggets are interesting, can I ask what region you found those pieces in, and do you know of any past mining in your area?
