I was wondering what this style of glass was called. How old does milk glass go back?

My first thoughts were it was porcelain. I will defer to milk glass since I am not too experienced in glass yet.

When I first saw it I thought English or American porcelain. The Chinese is thinner and more translucent.

Garabaldi, hold it up to a light bulb, and if you can see light through it, it is bone china; if not, it is earthenware. The 'pattern' looks like the rare brown Willow, but I would have to see more of the pattern to be exactly sure. The green & yellow does not look original to the plate. See if you can remove/scrape the green/yellow with your fingernail. Breezie

Since you can see through it, it's 'bone china;' therefore, not brown Willow because Willow (whether blue or brown) is earthenware. Breezie
