Just curious if anyone recognizes the pattern/piece. It appears to be bronze with a lead backing, Non-magnetic, 2 x 2 inches and weighs in at 55 grams. The dots on the front seem to be some sort of corrosion? The back appears to have two attaching points.

It was found in a place that goes back to the 1600's.

Just trying to figure out what to put on the label for my showcase.

Thanks!

I have the same piece with the same zigzag border. Mine has small circles at each corner. I can't tell if yours has those. And mine is slightly smaller, I think. It has a lead or solder filled back with two attachment points. I am reasonably sure that these are rosettes.
