Relic Hunting
I've hunted in the general location of a long gone plantation many times and have done well on coins in the area in the past as well as civil war relics. Yesterday however wouldn't bring me any of the usual coinage... I did manage a few bullets and as the day was coming towards it's end I managed to come across one of those pull tab types of signals.... Not paying much attention to the vdi reading I dug a plug in the cane row and began the search for the object that gave the signal. After a short search to my surprise out of the dirt clod came this shiny little object. At first glance in the bright sunlight I thought it was silver, but after a closer inspection in my shadow without the glare a friend and myself realized that I had found something out of the ordinary! It was gold! I then began trying to figure out exactly what I had... The jury is still out as to exactly what it is. I'm thinking a cuff link or a button, but who would have a shirt full of solid gold buttons? So here I give it to all of you to help decide what exactly it may be... The two upper objects left and right in the pic is the so called button I found yesterday. The pipes are just a couple other finds I threw in the pic! Thanks for your help!!!!!
