Hello, this isn't a Pitkin flask, although I can't quite be sure from the photographs what type of flask it is. Pitkins always have 2 layers of glass (as shown at the shoulder where the 2nd layer ends). They are then put into a pattern mold and then swirled to get the pattern all around the parison, and often have a vertical pattern also. I'll post a photo of a "typical" Pitkin flask. I've been collecting them for many years and often see confusion as to what they are. A pontil scar on the base, such as on your bottle doesn't make it Pitkin, nor even antique. I'll be glad to help with any information on Pitkin-type flasks or inks.IMG_0494.JPG

What's this one annieneme... I know it's not a Pitkin but It's not marked MMA either, can't find another exactly like it, I can find ones with no opalescent but none that are opalescent... And none that sold on the bay knew who it was made by yet it still seems like $80 is a typical price.

Hey gadget,

Isn't that Uranium Glass? Sort of a radioactive paean to the old Stiegel diamond daisy.

Emil Larson is the suspected gaffer on others: fluted flask authenticity | Antique Bottles Forum

An un-pictured past auction, also points to Emil: Blown/Mold Daisy Diamond/ Rib Vaseline Glass Flask

I just don't know if Emil worked in Uranium.

Yes it is uranium glass, a Stiegel "looking" daisy & diamond pattern. Looking for this on on the bay I found the 2 that sold recently for $80 (the same 1 in the link you supplied) & $86. Then using different search terms I searched active listings & I found an unmarked one listed as a bottle for $19.99 BIN free shipping (they attributed it to Pairpoint) + the seller is selling lots of other Pairpoint glass & so I bought that for $20 BIN F/S too! $20 is the same exact price I paid for the one in my picture. Only difference is the one I got local is opalescent & none of the other 3-4 (well now 5-6) I've seen were/are NOT opalescent.

The Emil Larson made ones are supposedly thin & light weight but this one is not what I'd call thin or lightweight (it's a good 3/4's of a pound). I had seen all the links you posted except the "fluted flask authenticity" link, I hadn't came across that site before! Thanks!! Anyway I have 2 of them now 1 opalescent & one that's not opalescent & I paid $20 each. I collect vaseline glass & while I believe a nice profit could be turned on these 2 flasks I probably won't sell them especially since their both slightly different.

Thank a bunch for the input!

Hey gadget,

That Pairpoint attribution might be right on.

"Their name for vaseline was 'canaria'. The glass is very fine art glass, hand blown, high lead content (rings when 'flicked'), and a beautifully polished pontil. One of the highest quality pieces of vaseline made and quite scarce to locate at any price. Canaria was made for only a few years in the 1920's." factory

Did'ya see this one?

Nope didn't see that one either! The one I got sure feels like it probably has a high lead content tho can't make it ring as it has a cork broken off in the mouth & I don't wanna remove it after all it could have John Lennon's or Elvis's breath inside it...lol. I love that Factory vaseline glass site, I use it often!
