I first thought these were fishing weights but now I’m thinking they are roundballs. One even looks to have the Sprew. Am I right?

It is a sprue alright, and those appear to be lead round balls. Someone with more knowledge than I, will hopefully further ID them for you.

Might be .44 caliber.

Pistol balls typically have the casting-sprue cut off. Also, your finds have very little patina/oxidation on them. Judging by the nearby ruler in your photo, their approximate size appears to be 5/16" (.31" or so). Putting those three characteristics together suggests they are modern-era 0 or 00 gauge buckshot.
