pinpointers on beaches.

i dont. its so easy to dig i never saw the need.

I do in dry sand makes locating the small stuff that goes through the scoop so much quicker.

When I hunted the dry sand and didn't have a scoop. Worked fine for me.

I do not. I saw a guy using one this past Thursday. It was the first time I had seen someone using one on the beach. He had a long handled scoop. He was using a Whites beach hunter and his wife was using the scoop. It didn't look like he was finding much. He also looked like he was a newbie.

did u tell him about the site?

I don't.
I just kick or scoop the sand around in different directions and check each pile with the coil

No. He didn't seem too social. I saw another THer trying to strike up a conversation with him with little success. Some THers are like that.

I have one with just in case, some of my Swedish coins and other small stuff fall right trough my scoop.
So I always have one to locate the tiny objects that can be found, though never in the water. Only on dry sand and in very shallow water.

Else I do just scoop up the dirt and put it in piles until I got it out of the hole then I screen it with my scoop.

Good Hunting!

It is a shame that some of these Newbies think they are going to really make a profit so they would cut into their treasure time to stop and talk. They don't realize that it is just a hobby.

I can not see any use for a probe when the sand is so easy to dig and fill the holes back in. I have a inline probe on my Sov GT, but it is the only one I use besides using a bayonet in the grass.
