I was hunting with some friends at an older elementary school which as far as we can tell has undisturbed soil. This gave me a bouncy signal on the E. I had my buddy check with his explorer and he got the same bouncy signal. It was down about 8 inches. Thought it was a zipper pull at first until I got it cleaned up a bit and noticed a design on one side and the remains of where a pin was attatched on the back. Does anyone recognize this design? No writing anywhere on it.

It seems to me that back when I was in high school .. seems like 100 years ago .. that the FFA had a banner similar (but not exact) to your pin called "Rays of Hope." The bottom ray represented no-row crops such as hay, wheat, oats, etc, the center ray is a cultivated field symbolic of row crops, the trees were symbolic of timber & pulp farming, and the top ray is a ray of gold symbolic of agriculture prosperity.

Maybe your pin is an FFA pin?
