Pill box, Snuff box, or other

I was going thru some stuff the other day and came across this little jem that I found over the summer and never got around to posting it, so here it is. I tried to find out some info on the name on the back but came up with nothing, so I was hoping someone on here would know what this is. I think its either a pill box or snuff box or some kind of powder compac for makeup from the 40's or 50's It has a hinge on the back but the pin is gone and a snap type closer in the front. any help would be greatly appriaciated thanks Dean
