I have been checking the ground for the last week and finally was able to do more than scrape. About 4 inches until the frozen ground put a halt to my test hole so I took my pin pointed and just probed: 2 nails and 1/2" nut and then my first coin of the year, a 1939 wheatie. Only cleaned it up enough to get the date, will look better if I decide to clean it up more, sometimes the "found look" is good enough. Mar27391.JPGMar27392.JPGMar27.JPG.
I am MAJOR jonesing for the thaw to hit in full force!!!!
