It does look kind of like a blue ribbon pig award, kinda like the one from the "Charlotte's Web" book. (Wilbur's Medal)

I was thinking watch fob from a butcher but if that is what it was I would think it would have writing on the back of who gave it out. I like the award theory...it would make sense attached to a ribbon.
