Piece of Silver ? Solved, Thanks

found this today at the park. i know that its from a necklace. its probably held a pendant to a chain. but i what to know if its silver or not. the marking are STERL -WRC. both side were bent in i un bent it to see the markings. I really what to know cause if it is it WILL BE MY FIRST SILVER

It is for certain sterling silver. Sterling is a British creation composed of 92.5% silver vs. the common American silver coinage which is 90% silver. Another way to express this: sterling = .925 fine silver, American silver coinage = .900 fine silver. So actually you've found a silver piece which is higher in silver than American silver coinage. Congrats!
