I have been continuing to hit a large CW camp site that is being bulldozed for a new subdivision and everytime I go in I manage to come out with something. The bracket on my coil that attaches it to the metal detector broke last week. I took this opportunity to purchase a new machine. I chose the XP Dues. I received it Wednesday evening. I charged it up and set up some programs that I researched on the web. I took it out after work on Thursday and it performed well, it has a lot more tones that I will have to get used too. The only issue I had is the coil lost its power only an hour or two. I figured maybe I didn't get the clip that charges it attached properly. I charged it again and noticed it wouldn't completely charge, even though the charging light indicated it was fully charged. I took it back out this morning and it only lasted 2 hours. I have emailed the company I bought it from requesting a replacement, just my luck. I did take a back up detector with me today and was able to gets some more relics.
This piece was deep, about 10 to 12 inches, but it sounded so good. I though I had a coin. I thought it might be a ring at first but its flat on the bottom. I found in the same section of property that I pulled a lot of Eagle I buttons and New York Buttons. Some others have pulled some Michigan buttons, I was late to that party. I was surprised by the detail on it. I thinks its brass, it still has some shine on it.
I found this button a few feet away, it is very tiny. It does have a shank on the back.
A few eagles.
One New York cuff, I never get tired of pulling these out.
These were the finds from my first trip out with the Deus.
From today. There was a lot of junk, gromits, camp lead, etc.
