Hunting an old lake bottom the other night I pouched what I thought was an electrical knockout. Looking through my finds afterwards, I noticed a little something on this slug and after a mild cleaning saw what appears to be a relief of an Indian head from a Buff.
The slug is thin lead and nothing can be seen on the reverse. Is this a practice anyone has seen before? Was it possibly a method of making a token or someone just screwing around.
