My computer won't allow me to post pictures for some strange reason. I can see them but can't get them to upload. Anyway, I'll tell you about the one I found this weekend and I'm sure you will be able to visualize what it looks like. I'm on the dozer leveling a hill and we had gotten over an inch of rain the few previous days. I had found a broken tip on the hard pan the previous week that I believe is paleo with mid line flaking and the appropriate patination. It would have been a killer and I know the other half is there somewhere. From my elevated position, I could see really good. I look out across the dirt that had been rained on and low and behold was one of the best points I have seen in a long time. It wasn't the other half of the paleo, it was complete. I immediately powered down and got off the dozer to pick it up before I lost sight of it. At 20 ft, I could tell it was nice and I was all smiles. At 10 ft, I had a skip in my step to increase my pace. At 5 ft, I squinted my eyes to try to get a better focus on it. Standing over the point, a confused look was on my face and I bent down and picked up one of the prettiest leaves I have ever found. That 20 ft walk back to the dozer was not good. I was 100% sure this was a nice point and 0% correct. In the game we play, it happens.......

I think I have found your leaf points' twin sister a few times, and the thing is they are always so well made. The leaf veins looking so much like parallel flaking, and ooh the colors they come in. Rare to find with much age on them, as they don't hold up well in the soils around here. HH

I've stepped and then reached into very cold water for what I was 100% certain was a point. And, and I'm sure I'll do it again.

Hope you get the pictures up.

I have a bad habit of convincing myself that Im seeing an overlooked artifact when people post insitu pictures of their finds. Here's the little point I found a couple days ago, and I swear I see a serrated edge on that white piece at bottom center of the photo.

The mind has a funny way of playing tricks on us (especially those of us involved in this very frustrating yet very rewarding hobby)
