Detected the playground area for about 20 minutes and was doing well until some kids got on my nerves so I moved over to the bottom of the ski run. Only found 3 coins there so I moved over to the sandy walkway going up the mountain, after about 15 minutes I had only found 2 coins and no rings so I went back over to the playground area, the kids were gone. After about 1.5 hours total and a good 25 Euros, a maintenance worker came over and asked what I was looking for. Gave him the usual answers and showed him my pouch of coins and trash. He was happy to see the trash and thanked me for picking it up. Then he told me there were 3 guys with metal detectors here the day before, and that explained all the holes with trash laying around them, I thought it was kids. I asked the worker if I could detect the sandy area around the pool as it was locked up. He said sure no problem and unlocked the gate for me, I gave him a 2 Euro coin and told him to buy himself a beer.
Detecting the pool area didn?t give up as much as I thought it would and in hindsight makes sense. There is also a big tower with electric lines to the right of the pool, trees growing around it in the picture below that caused some interference with the detector.
<LED flashlight and a small toy car, larger than a dinkie.
Lead fishing sinker, 3 Monte tokens, thought the far left token was an early 1800 silver as the reverse has a reef, a junk ring, a silver .925 charm with a small black stone , a shopping cart token and a small key
Pile of coins, 55 Euros or $67.00, found 4 Deutsch Mark coins and 4 American coins, 96 coins total
Hunted a field Sunday for about 2 hours, the 1822 copper Pfenning and small heart shaped lock were the best finds. Also 6 other early 1900 coins. HH and thanks for looking, Mike
